GENERAL NURSING & MIDWIFERY (GNM)

COURSE DESCRIPTION

Nursing is designed to develop an attitude in the students, provide necessary knowledge and skills to recognize and intelligently interpret the physical, mental and emotional manifestations of illness and prepare them to plan individual nursing care based on their unique needs.

The program also help develop abilities to work with other specialist medical and paramedical personnel, devise and demonstrate disease prevention and health promotion program, integrate principles of hygiene, ethical and moral codes are aspects taught in the program. On the higher scale, tool to research, apply advances in scientific field and technology is built in nursing care services in both public and private sectors.

 

Eligibility

  • Pass in PUC / 10+2 or equivalent with 40% aggregate marks in any stream. [ Science, Arts and Commerce ].
  • For SC/ST candidate, the minimum marks for Admission 35% in the qualifying subjects.
  • Must have completed 17 years of age by 31st December of the year of admission.
